European Parliament

Stop AIDS Alliance works with Members of the European Parliament across nationality and political party to support the development and strengthening of EU development and HIV policies and to ensure ongoing political support for the response to HIV/AIDS.

We work in particular with Members of the Development Committee in the European Parliament to influence and strengthen European Commission proposals and Parliament resolutions in the field of development cooperation and HIV/AIDS. We give input into relevant Parliamentary reports, table amendments and meet regularly with Members to inform them about Stop AIDS Alliance’s positions.

EPWG

SAA also closely collaborates with the Parliamentary Working Group on Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS and Development (EPWG), whose Members give specific attention and support to the EU’s response to the global HIV/AIDS epidemic.
