GAERC Meeting on MDGs and HIV/AIDS, May 2005

In preparation for the General Affairs and External Relations Council on 23-24 May 2005, the Stop AIDS Alliance sent a letter to the EU Member States raising its concerns on the lack of acknowledgement by the EC of HIV/AIDS cross-cutting nature in its MDGs strategy. Likewise, whilst welcoming the new EC Programme for Action to confront HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, it drew the Council's attention on issues related to civil society involvement and HIV/AIDS vulnerability.
